Privacy Policy

This policy describes the limited information Louisville Residents Directory receives, how that information is used, and the choices available to a visitor. The directory is a reference to Louisville and Boulder County records, not an account service. No account is required, and the site does not maintain a private resident database.

Information You Send

Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party provider that powers the results. Louisville Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you email or otherwise contact the operators, the message and the details it contains may be used to answer the request and to keep a limited record of the exchange.

Routine Technical Logs

Hosting services may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps. Those ordinary server logs help maintain site security, diagnose errors, and understand page traffic in aggregate. Basic cookies or similar tools may support analytics or, where used, advertising measurement. The site does not use those logs to build a private Louisville resident profile.

How the Information Is Used

Information is used to operate the directory, respond to messages, fix technical problems, count visits, and improve explanations of public records. Louisville Residents Directory does not sell a visitor list or create individual dossiers from the records described on its pages.

External Portals and Links

The pages link to Boulder County portals, Colorado election and court systems, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service controls its own collection, retention, pricing, and privacy practices. A submission made to a county office or a third-party result provider is governed by that service's notice, not this policy.

Who May Process It

Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs to keep the site online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above when those tools are enabled. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. It is not otherwise shared as a Louisville resident list.

Security and Retention

The site uses an encrypted connection, and technical logs are retained only for the operational or security purpose that calls for them. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored here for a visitor to manage or recover.

Visitors Under 18

Louisville Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information, contact the operators so the limited material can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Colorado Privacy Choices

The Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§6-1-1301 et seq., can give qualifying consumers rights to access, correct, delete, and download personal data held by a covered business, along with opt-outs for sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Colorado recognizes Global Privacy Control for the applicable sale and targeted-advertising opt-outs under C.R.S. §6-1-1306(1)(a)(IV) and related rules. Because this directory keeps little visitor data, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs. Use the Contact Us page to ask.

Those business-privacy rights do not give the operators control over a Boulder County deed, court docket, voter file, or vital record. A correction, confidentiality, or removal question about an official record must go to the custodian. The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-200.1-205, governs access to existing public records, not deletion of a legally retained government record.

Changes to This Policy

Any revision will be posted on this page with the updated wording. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
